Chris: Definitely, the more I know about the figure the better understanding of structure, volume, form, ect. I try to apply to my every day drawings what I know from lifedrawings, whether I'm drawing a character, a tree or a robot.
the process of drawing never ends, and It's important to draw the figure from time to time to maintain your eye-hand coordination.
