Hello, and Happy Friday!Bitmap image is composed of pixel-based image information (these are the little tiny squares of light that you see in your monitor)
Vector image is made of geometric and mathematical information.
From my previous post, what do you prefer, bitmap or vector?-heri

I'd give my vote to the vector Lucy...except for the lips: the Photoshop version of her lips is superior, in my opinion! (C'mon everyone, check out the larger version and you'll see what I mean)
Nice work Heri!
thanx chrissie, the lips on the photoshop verion look and feel wet.

I prefer the vector image. It's a pretty strong design to start with so it works real well with flat color.
Vector art usually forces you to think about the design of the shapes more because you can't jump right in and start rendering the forms, if you're going to render or use gradients at all. Like in the vector hair, you spent more time, it looks like, making sure the hair was interesting to look at. The necklass, the background, all more interesting in the vector art. This could be just because you made adjustments while redoing the image but it could be because you are limiting yourself to just a few values and need the design to be strong. I know I get all happy with the rendering before I have a great design and often finish a piece wishing I took more time in the early stages. Not that the design was bad in the PS image, just a little better in the vector version.
I agree about the lips, maybe completely change the shapes for the vector version, I think the 3 curves on the bottom lip may not be working. Or you could just add a highlight maybe.
Thanks for the comment on my site. I posted a caricature of you on the Drawingboard kinda as thanks and kinda because I need the practice.
Don
Bitmap es mas expresivo, vector es mas `para publicidad.
I'd always go with bitmap, I generally prefer analog stuff. But you redid lucy as vectors so well, don't make us choose.
Myself, I usually prefer vector work. I'm a bit of a clean freal sometimes. Dang, what a Lucy! There's no doubt in the world that that's her.
Vector, Victor. If that reference escapes you, watch Airplane. :-)
This one is really great!
I prefer the bitmap. Looks more organic, also I like the way you did the stylised pearls.
