Monster Maquette.

Never really done a maquette before, however I always wanted to try.
Two weeks ago I bought my self 2 pounds of super sculpey, and started this. I had a hard time with it as I tried sculpting one side, I destroyed the other. This is 3 inches talland only used less than a handfull of sculpey, with the rest I will do another one from head to toe.
Here is the sketch and some pictures of the maquette.

Girl and Dead Bird

I drew this the other night, and I just added some quick color in photoshop today. Also decided to put her in the corner, it's gives more mood with this composition rather than just her on the center.

Computer Crash.

As I was drawing on my wacom lastnight, my computer crashed. It turned off completely with out any warning.I tried everything to get it back on, but it was almost impossible. She died lastnight, taking some digital drawing with her!

Today I went to the store to get her fix, they said it was in bad shape and it was going to take about 2 weeks to get her back on. TWO WEEKS!!!! , that's 336 hours!

I ended up buying a new desktop computer, it's smaller and compact, however it has more speed, the little thing can pack a punch! I noticed there was no computer lag as I drew this in photoshop.

I tried to capture the moment.

Thank you for your comments everyone, they keep me motivated to update this daily, 51 consecutive days and counting!

That is dust gathered from the city doing some clean up and remodeling the street, dust it went all over the place, It was 100 degrees outside, and I wanted ice cream!

The miscarriage

I sketched this about a year ago, I found it in an old sketchbook. I got the concept one morning when I was making breakfast, I pulled an egg from the refrigerator as I tried to grab another egg, it fell smashing and breakin on the hard tile, I stared at the broken egg for a few seconds, I might not had the same expression as this mama chicken, but my reaction was darn close to it!

Bitmap vs Vector

Hello, and Happy Friday!
Bitmap image is composed of pixel-based image information (these are the little tiny squares of light that you see in your monitor)
Vector image is made of geometric and mathematical information.

From my previous post, what do you prefer, bitmap or vector?

My caricature

My first time drawing my self as a caricature belive it or not.
It shows drawing from one to three, each drawing is very loose and sketchy. The first one is always more of a portrait, the second one I feel more comfortable and move things around, I push and pull features around to see what works the best.
The third one, I keep pushing features around, kicking them, boucing them around, but still maintaining a loose line. I pick the features that worked on number two and put them on number three, and if I can I try to exagerate them untill it bothers me.

You can draw me at the Caricaturist Caricature thread at the Drawing Board. (my mug is on page 60) There are a lot of great artist there, so go check it out.

It's a long way between one and three.
